Jeffery Stuart Adams, 62, Robertsville, departed this life Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, in Sullivan.

Jeffery was born June 18, 1959, in St. Louis, the son of Richard Eugene Adams and wife Mary Ruth, nee Piquard. On May 14, 1988, he was united in marriage to Loretta Joyce Rutledge, and two children came to bless this union.

Jeffery was a Christian and member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell. He was active in the church, helping to sponsor the college-age youth group. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved to go camping with his family, play golf and go fishing, especially fly fishing. Jeffery loved to teach others how to tie flies and how to fly fish, mainly for trout. He also loved to watch and coach soccer. His family was the most important thing to him. His children and grandson were his pride and joy and held a very special place in his heart. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be forever cherished by all of them.

A kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
