- Multi-Pitch Climbing Clinic: 5-7 p.m. Oct. 14, North Shore Wall. Learn the skills and techniques of climbing multiple pitches. Practice how to set up an anchor mid-route, pull the rope up, and reset for another full length climb. Then, try your hand at rappelling back to the ground. Cost: $10 UMD student members/$25 others. - Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certification Course: 6-9 p.m. Oct. 14 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 15-16, Bagley Nature Area Classroom, UMD. Accidents happen. The John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon 2022 Fur-K Festival: Oct. 22, DECS North Star Academy and Snowflake Nordic Ski Center, Duluth.
