A graveside service for Gary Michael Brammer, 72, long-time resident of Norman, OK, most recently of Gainesville, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Fairview Cemetery pavilion. The family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the pavilion.

Mr. Brammer passed away May 31, 2021 in Gainesville.

Gary was born February 20, 1949 in Denton to Gary and Billie (Couch) Brammer. He was a member of Gainesville High School’s 1967 graduating class. Mr. Brammer received his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Arlington and his Master’s Degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He was an electrical engineer employed with AT&T/Lucent Technologies, then retiring following many years at Tinker Air Force Base. “Uncle Mike”, as he was affectionately known, enjoyed skiing, whether it was on water or snow, having won water ski championships in Oklahoma. While visiting his favorite destination of Colorado, he enjoyed fly fishing, off-roading in his Jeep, and spending time at Last Chance Mine, an old silver mine that he helped renovate and open to the public. Mr. Brammer also enjoyed tinkering on computers and the 1930 Ford Model A that he’d owned over 50 years.

Survivors include: son, Christopher Nelson Brammer of St. Louis, MO; brother, Larry Brammer of Gainesville; brother, Steve Brammer and wife, Nancy of Katy; nieces and nephews: Lauren Carter, Madison Brammer, Matt Brammer, and Beth Robinson.

Mr. Brammer was preceded in death by his parents.
