Welcome to a classic edition of the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival! Every week, we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available and then serve them up for you to enjoy. This week, due to unforeseen circumstances, we don’t have a new selection. Instead, we offer a 2019 F5 that comprises 17 killer productions from around the world and featuring a wide variety of species. There’s something for everyone here, whether you’re a freshwater, saltwater, or warmwater lover.

For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.

We don’t often lead with a 15-minute video, but this production from InTents Media warrants prominent placement. Derek Olthuis, Cortney Boice, Phil Tuttle, and Sam Parkinson go in search of huge arctic char, and the journey is epic in several ways.
The second episode of “Mosquitoes and Mayflies,” from Rolf Nylinder features more great fishing action–both failure and success–as the boys go in search of dry-fly-eating browns.
Anglers target tarpon, bonefish, permit and more in the lower Florida Keys in this heart-pumping video.

The more I see videos like this, the more I want to fish for trout in the mountains of northern Italy.
This is old footage (from 2012), but it just showed up on the Yootoobs. It’s a compilation of clips taken from around South Florida, The Everglades, and The Key, featuring DJ Dan and Keys guide Derek Rust.
A couple kids read the Wilderness Act of 1964 over scenes of an angler on a remote piece of water. It’s a good reminder of why we need to protect such places.
Captain Quinn shares some of his best moment from the last year, as well as a funny story about playing in the snow with his kids. Warning: language.
