A Renaissance fair hosted in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the United States in a Renaissance-themed park.

Richard Shapiro and his wife Bonnie launched the Bristol Renaissance Faire in 1972 as “King Richard’s Faire.” The Shapiros sold the fair to Renaissance Entertainment Corporation in 1988, after establishing a second King Richard’s Faire in Carver, Massachusetts. That year, the old King Richard’s Faire reopened as the “Bristol Renaissance Faire.” Its 30-acre site is located west of Interstate 94 on the Wisconsin-Illinois state boundary. It depicts Queen Elizabeth I’s visit to the English coastal city of Bristol in 1574.

Zalmon G. Simmons, an entrepreneur, donated property for Simmons Island Park in 1916. The beach home and landscape were completed in the 1930s. The center block of the structure is one and a half floors tall, with one-story wings. It features slate-covered roofs that are steep.
