CANTON—Regina Lynn “Gina” (Meehan) Taylor, 57, Canton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 at her home in Canton.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1963, in Havana to Franklin James “Jim” and Norma Jean (Trimpe) Meehan.

She is preceded in death by her father Jim.

She is survived by her husband Dan Taylor, whom she married  July 27, 2013.

Also surviving is her mother Norma Jean, three sons Jordan Fouts, Pekin, Gerad Fouts, Chicago, and Justin “J.J.” Montgomery, Canton; two brothers, Richard James (Stacey) Meehan, Astoria and Robert Charles (Jeanne) Meehan, Table Grove.

Gina worked for Ameren Illinois as the director of public awareness for JULIE.

Gina loved her job and she enjoyed staying active, fly fishing and golfing. She was known for her kindness, and she loved preparing meals for the Invictus Woods Sober Living House. For the past five years she coordinated the Jim Meehan Charity Golf Outing for Alzheimer’s Awareness at Wee Ma Tuk Hills Country Club.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at the funeral home at 11 a.m.

Burial will be held immediately following the services at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. 

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Invictus Woods Sober Living Home.

Due to COVID – 19 Mandates a facial covering will be required, and social distancing will be practiced
