Highlight of the Week

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad will host a special St. Patrick’s Day train to Cascade Canyon on Thursday.

The Shamrock Express will offer a special selection of Guinness and another Irish beer along with live music by local Celtic musicians, the Kitchen Jam Band. They will play on the platform in front of the depot before departure as well as on board the train, where they will move from car to car playing traditional Irish music. St. Patrick’s Day-themed temporary tattoos will be available on the platform before boarding the train.

Passengers will have the option of pre-ordering a special St. Patrick’s Day boxed lunch in addition to the regular boxed lunches offered every day.
