Beepin’ bingo cancelled

The Woodstock-Edinburg Little League beepin’ bingo scheduled for Saturday at Riverview Park in Woodstock has been canceled. Information: 540-333-5878.

Egg my yard

The Strasburg Fire Department is hosting an Egg My Yard event on April 16. Members will “egg your yard” with candy-filled eggs. The cost is $20 for 30 eggs and $35 for 60 eggs. To sign up call 703-853-8729.

Parks/Rec

Warren County Parks and Rec has announced the following programs and activities:

• Karate (ages 5-16): noon-1:15 p.m. each Saturday April through August at Front Royal Karate Club, 7 Kidd Lane, Front Royal. The cost is $120 for 10 consecutive classes. This class is ongoing and starts the first week you register.

• Hip Hop for Kids (for ages 6-10): 6:35-7:20 p.m., Tuesdays through May 17, at Health and Human Services Complex, 465 W. 15th St., Front Royal. Registration deadline is Sunday. The cost is $60. Information: zumba.lizi@gmail.com.

• Piano lessons (children and adults): Monday through Thursday at Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Ave., Front Royal. Class time and cost varies. Information: Barbara Stepp at 540-635-1919 or email barbara@skylinepiano.com.

• Walking Club: 9-10 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in April, at the Raymond E. Santmyers Youth Center, 200 E. 8th St., Front Royal. Program is self-paced. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

• Mah Jongg Players Club: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesdays in April, at Health and Human Services Complex. The cost is $8 per month prepaid or $3 per day drop-in at the door. Players must bring their own league card. Information: Deb Jones at 540-252-4252.

Strasburg Library

Strasburg Community Library will host baby rhyme time at 10 a.m. each Wednesday for ages up to 2-½ years old. Information: 540-465-8464.

Falcon food pantry

Donations of nonperishable food items are being sought for the Falcon Food Pantry for students in need at Central High School. Also needed are can openers, casserole pans and baking sheets. Contributions may be dropped at the school office.

Cline mobile hours

A representative of Congressman Ben Cline will hold mobile office hours from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Samuels Public Library, 330 E. Criser Road, Front Royal.

A staff member will be available to meet with citizens to assist with problems they might have with a federal agency and hear their views on current issues before Congress.

VECCA artist reception

VECCA will host an artist’s reception highlighting the work of Martha Vaughan from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at 123 S. Main St., Woodstock.

A show of her work “Silver Linings,” will be on display throughout April. Information: www.vecca.org.

Trout Unlimited

The Winchester chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold a dinner meeting at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Region’s 117 Restaurant, 180 Bald Eagle Drive, Lake Frederick. The meeting will follow at 7 p.m. featuring Wayne White and Phil Stevens talking about the brand new Winchester Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program.
