Trout Unlimited meeting

The Clear Fork Chapter of Trout Unlimited will meet tonight (Monday) at 7:15 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and health concerns about group gatherings, all CFRTU public meetings are being held remotely using Zoom. To join this meeting using a home computer, send an email message to cfrtu.rsvp@gmail.com. Indicate you wish to participate in the Nov 9 CFRTU meeting and include name and email address. You will receive an “invitation” to the Zoom meeting that will include a link.

There will be a discussion of chapter activities going on this fall. The speakers will be Gregg and Christine Eleftrin, members of the chapter. Gregg Eleftrin will discuss “Foundations for Euro nymphing.” This is a newer fly fishing technique in which no lead split shot or strike indicators are used. Rather, heavily weighted flys are drifted through the strike zone using a “high sticking” technique. Following that, Christine Eleftrin will present “Fly Fishing, Family, and Fun,” describing her experiences about Ohio women who fly fish.

Details of this and future meetings, plus other chapter activities and local fishing reports, can be found at cfrtu.org. Meetings of the Clear Fork River Chapter of Trout Unlimited are open to the public and anyone interested in fishing and cold water fisheries preservation is encouraged to participate. Interested women fishers are especially invited.
