Six years ago today, we posted the first photos to come out of an arduous journey to Eastern Russia by Vaidas Uselis and Nerijus Rupciauskas—collectively known as Black Fly Eyes. The next year, they released this amazing film about fly-fishing for taimen, which they shot on the remote waters of an unnamed region, and I think you’ll agree that it has “epic” written all over it. From the incredible landscape, to the monstrous fish, to the killer drone footage, this has all the hallmarks of a fly-fishing classic. Make sure you watch in HD at full-screen.
