Washburn, WI- The Chequamegon Bay Arts Council (CBAC) kicked off this year’s annual member show on Oct. 1, called “THE GATHERING.” The exhibit has over 80 works from over 30 area artists. The display of local talent is open through Halloween. “THE GATHERING” can be found at the Washburn Cultural Center every Tuesday through Sunday.
Hayward, WI- The 6th annual Treeland Premier Musky Fly Fishing Tournament kicks off Thursday. Registration for the event is full, but this tournament is just the tip of the iceberg of everything going on in Hayward this weekend. The Boulder Lodge Resort is hosting two different live music events with the first on Thursday evening. Two different local wineries will also have live music and wine tastings this weekend. Ely, MN- Community Health Care in Ely is stepping up to fight the flu. The Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital is hosting two drive-thru flu shot events in October, as well as two in November.
