Christmas Wish has returned for the 31st year with the goal of helping those in need create a memorable Christmas for their children.
The program allows area residents to step up and assist those needing help providing Christmas gifts for their children.
Beginning this year, CareCenter Ministries wil handle the day-to-day operations of the Christmas Wish program, with The Bulletin continuing to to publish information about the families that have applied to the program.
Donations to the program may be dropped off at the CareCenter Ministries office, which is located at 734 Thorn Street in Mountain Home. Those making a donation by check should include “Christmas Wish” on the check’s memo line.

Wish 32
Mom and dad both work 40+ hours a week but still struggle to make ends meet. This is the hardest part of the year for so many. We also don’t like asking for help. We think our kids could use a blessing, a smile in this hard time we are facing.
FIRST CHILD — 2- year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I love all bright, light up, loud music toys. I am a singer and I love to dance.
ONE THING I WOULD LOVE: A tablet.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Barbies, baby doll with accessories, movies and books.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 7T cowgirl boots or snow boots, a new car seat and twin bedding.
SECOND CHILD — 5-year-old boy
ABOUT ME: Big-hearted, God-loving little boy that loves to fish and hunt with his Pawpaw.
ONE THING I WOULD LOVE: A tablet.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Pokémon cards, anything Pokémon, Transformers, Superheroes, and Power Rangers.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 6 jeans, size 12 cowboy boots or snow boots, socks and twin bedding.
MY FAVORITES: The colors red, camo, blue, green; chocolate and Baby Bottle pops; Pokémon, PJ Mask, Paw Patrol tv shows, Ninja Turtles, Hook, Troll 2 World Tour movies and hunting, fishing and playing outside.
Wish 33
My work is slow, and I only have so many hours a week. I am doing the best I can with what I have got. We are living from paycheck to paycheck. My daughter is 14 years old and is outgrowing her clothes quicker than I can keep her in them.
FIRST CHILD — 14-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I like sharks, unicorns. I have a cat who needs some treats. I also like Pokémon cards.
THINGS I REALLY LOVE: A 26” red mountain bike.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Crafts, Na! Na! Na! Surprise doll, furReal Friend Mama Josie Kangaroo, and R.C. Monster Jam Megalodon.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Twin sheets and blanket, room décor, alarm clock, size L clothes and size 7.5 shoes.
MY FAVORITES: The colors red and black, blue shark gummies, My Hero Academia TV show, the Labyrinth movie, soccer and math.
Wish 34
My husband died at the beginning of the year. He was a veteran. Due to the virus, and his death, this has been an unusual year for us. In August, it rained so much, our roof leaked. The leak was in our kitchen and caused our stove to short out. I have been preparing our meals in an electric skillet and crock pot ever since. Christmas is going to be very different this year.
FIRST CHILD — 18-year-old boy
ABOUT ME: I play the trumpet in band. I like cowboys, hats, and horses. I like to wear military uniforms from the Civil War to current. Popcorn is awesome.
ONE THING I WOULD LOVE: Anything Civil War or World War II related.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: A new full-size blanket and pillow, electric toothbrush, a rodeo belt buckle and a new belt.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Socks, aftershave, a watch, men’s size large clothes and 36×30 jeans.
MY FAVORITES: The color blue, Reese’s Pieces, Mountain Monsters TV show, the Gettysburg movie, horse riding, country music and the St. Louis Cardinals.
SECOND CHILD — 16-year-old boy
ABOUT ME: I like playing music. Sax, ukulele, guitar, and canjo. I hunt, fish, and am an artist. I like to travel and camp. I like K.C. Chiefs & the Royals. Fly fishing is the fishing I like best.
ONE THING I WOULD LOVE: Fly fishing stuff.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Anything fly fishing, music, and art related.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Socks, aftershave, a watch men’s XL clothing, size 36×30 jeans, size 11 shoes and full-size bedding.
MY FAVORITES: The color blue, Tootsie Rolls, TV show cartoons, Where the Wild Things Are movie, fly fishing, pop music, K.C. teams, band and English.
