Chris Pellegrino, 67, of Erwin, Tenn., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday May 8, 2021, following a long battle with ALS.
He was born in Williamsport on Feb. 12, 1954. The son of Phyllis (Axman) Pellegrino and the late Paul Pellegrino Jr.
Chris was a graduate of Bishop Neumann High School where he was an outstanding athlete and a member of the 1972 Pa. State Championship basketball team. He went on to graduate from Lock Haven University.
Chris loved animals, nature and outdoor activities, including fly fishing, camping and hiking with his family. Music brought him great joy during his life, and he enjoyed going to concerts with his children. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed restoring and building furniture. Everyone will remember his wonderful sense of humor.
Chris’ spirit will live on through his three children, Diana (Andy) Pellegrino/Harless, Charlotte, N.C.; PJ (Sarah) Pellegrino/Fankhauser, Erwin, Tenn. and Joey Pellegrino, Erwin, Tenn. and his three grandchildren, who brought him incredible joy, Maria, Vaughn and Josie.
He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Pellegrino, Williamsport and four sisters and a brother, Kathy Friedman, Susan Pellegrino, Teresa Woodring, Karen Eller and Paul Pellegrino.
Chris’ family will hold a private memorial ceremony at a later date. They ask that you remember Chris with love.
