Music at the Snow Bowl

Friday night concert series at the Snow Bowl starts Jan. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. with The Little Cornbread Muffins, offering tunes that are funky, bluesy, smooth and even rock a little.

The Camden Community Breakfast hosted by Chestnut St. Baptist Church in Camden will be served from 7 to 9 a.m. every Monday morning. All are welcome.

Weekly Parenting Support Group
GEAR Parent Network offers a virtual support group Wednesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m., for parents and child caregivers. To register call 1-800-264-9224. If there is no participation by 12:30 p.m., the meeting is canceled.

“Resurgence: UMVA in the Midcoast” Exhibit

The Midcoast Chapter of the Union of Maine Visual Artists presents a group exhibition Jan. 4 through Jan. 29, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Picker Room Gallery at the Camden Public Library. Virtual Watercolor Paint-Along (On Zoom). 

Learn watercolor techniques through a guided paint-along session, Thursday, Jan. 5, 6 to 8 p.m., led by artist Erica Qualey. Slow Stitching Mandalas In person and on Zoom. 

Join local artist Robinsunne for a guided, contemplative practice of sewing mandalas, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Participants may finish in class or carry their project home. Art & Journaling

Outdoor Tai Chi & Qigong 

Instructor Anna Dembska will lead tai chi classes for all levels Mondays and Thursdays, from 11 am to noon, by donation. A portion of the donations collected will benefit the Camden Public Library. Read-Aloud for Adults

Every Friday at 11 a.m., on the Camden Public Library’s YouTube Channel and Facebook Page, the library will stream a new recording of local thespian Joseph Coté reading aloud selections from a wide variety of books of fiction and non-fiction.

Creative Art Afternoons

This after-school activity for kids is on Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. in the library’s Picker Room. One-hour projects are facilitated by Youth Librarian Miss Amy. Call 236-3440 to sign up for the September sessions.
