The Americana Project class at Pagosa Springs High School will be holding a very special concert on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
This year’s special guest artist is singer-songwriter Thom Chacon. Based in Durango, Colo., as both a fly-fishing guide and family man, Chacon has literally traveled around the world playing his songs: from the intimidating confines of Folsom Prison to Thailand, India and Europe. His ability to write deeply moving songs that reflect both the natural world and the human experience has brought him attention and accolades from all around the world.
The talented Americana Project students will be opening the show with a 45-minute set. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, and for those 12 and under are free. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with general seating. Tickets are only available at the door by cash or check. Donations for the program will also be accepted.
