Welcome to AutoCamp, New York’s latest upstate oasis.

Nothing says summer like swapping stories over s’mores and a crackling campfire.

Just north of Woodstock, spread across 27-acres of forests and sunny wide open meadows in New York’s Catskills, AutoCamp opened their design-forward meets retro-chic glamping doors this month, just in time for the summer travel season.

“There are some locations that just feel inevitable to us and Catskills has always been one of them due to the region’s consistently thriving cultural and outdoor scene,” CEO and founder of AutoCamp Neil Dipaola said.

Formerly a Kampground of America (KOA) campsite, guests at AutoCamp will find a mix of accommodation types that includes a fleet of 65-airstreams, as well as vintage-chic kitted out cabins and luxury tents.

A hot tub-plunge pool is slated to open later this year.

The brand, whose unofficial tagline is “where great design meets the great outdoors,” says much of the look and feel of this resort was inspired by Hudson Valley farms that abound in the area.

At its heart, The Clubhouse will serve as a gathering place for guests and features an indoor fire pit and modern barn meets exposed post-and-beam interiors in addition to serving as the resorts reception and breakfast area.

Dining options at AutoCamp also includes a few local businesses from 2 Queens Coffee, Woodstock Brewing to Neversink General Store which will serve up everything from Philly cheesesteaks and meatball parm to homemade pizzas, salads and BBQ.

Just a ten-minute drive from Woodstock, complimentary bikes and seasonal offsite activities from expert-led outdoor mindfulness and forest bathing, to rock and ice climbing, guided snowshoeing and fly fishing are also on offer here for anyone looking to soak in the local culture.

“The Catskills region provided us with a tremendous amount of architectural and design inspiration, from its rustic, traditional agrarian structures to its rich musical culture,” Workshop/APD design director Andrew Kline said. “The ultimate goal is to create a unique and unforgettable experience for guests, and AutoCamp Catskills offers an indoor-outdoor, choose-your-own-adventure stay that guests will remember for years to come.”
