Due to the Patrons of the Provision Fund, the organization will be giving another disbursement of $10,000 to projects in Sheridan County.

Provision Fund’s first disbursement took place in December, amounting to $10,000. This March, disbursement of another $10,000 will give Sheridan County a total of $20,000 to Early Childhood Education, Elderly and Senior Care Services, and Parks and Recreation.

A panel of Stewards recently voted to grant funds for the following community needs, Joey’s Fly Fishing Foundation was given $2,500 to partially fund annual scholarships for outdoor education. Sheridan County Soccer Association was given $2,500 to help cover operational costs of the 2021 Mars Cup. Wyldflower Learning Community will be given $1,250 to partially fund the purchase of a new van for transport to and from educational services. CHAPS will receive $1,250 to partially cover operational costs for the Winter Equine Assisted Learning Program at the Child Development Center. The Hub will receive $2,500 allocated to operations and maintenance as outlined in the Provision Fund by-laws, 25% of every disbursement.

Project funding requests from the YMCA, CHAPS second request, and Sheridan Community Land Trust did not receive funds in this disbursement, but remain in the queue to be considered in the next round of disbursements.

The Provision Fund is made up of Sheridan County residents, whose contributions and voting decisions from Patrons are overseen by a Panel of Stewards, and facilitated by the Community Advisor. For more information on the Provision Fund find their brochure here.
