If you wish to join this meeting using your home computer, you must send an email message to cfrtu.rsvp@gmail.com. Please indicate that you wish to participate in the Oct. 12 CFRTU meeting and include your name and email address. At the meeting, there will be a discussion of chapter activities planned for this fall. The featured speaker will be Tom and Pam Allen, both active leaders in the Madmen chapter of TU in the Columbus area. Tom has been involved in protection of the Mad River watershed for over 40 years. He will discuss riparian area protection and in-stream habitat Improvement. Following that, Pam Allen, and Katie Johnstone who is lead coordinator of Ohio Women Flyfishers, will talk about women in Ohio who fly fish.
Details of this and future meetings, plus other chapter activities and local fishing reports, can be found on our chapter website at cfrtu.org. All meetings of the Clear Fork River Chapter of Trout Unlimited are open to the public and anyone interested in fishing and cold water fisheries preservation is encouraged to participate. Interested women fishers are especially invited.
Track fall’s changing leaves
Forecasting fall color can be difficult as foresters must consider several variables such as sunlight, temperature, wind, and rainfall when estimating the intensity and longevity of leaf color. This year, the ODNR Division of Forestry is expecting peak color to arrive in mid-to-late October. More information on the current forecast is available at ohiodnr.gov/wps/portal/gov/odnr/go-and-do/see-the-sights/fall-color.
