With the approach of winter, trout anglers start thinking more about fishing with midges, which make up a large portion of a trout’s diet during the colder months. In this great video, Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions not only shows you how to tie a simple midge imitation, but he also demonstrates how to rig it—including which knots he prefers—and how to fish it for maximum effect. It’s a full-service video that will help you hook more trout between now and when the larger bugs start hatching agin in late winter.
