Welcome to the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival! Each week, we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available, and curate them for you. This was, frankly, a dud of week, which often happens in the “shoulder” seasons–when fishing is just gearing up in one hemisphere and slowing down in the other. Therefore, I reached back into the archives to find 10 glorious productions that will help you kick off the weekend right. There are spectacular destinations, cool fish species, and some killer filmmaking. Enjoy!

For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.

Here’s a cool little portrait of a fly fisher. No talkin’, just fishin’.

Our pals to the north have headed almost as far north as an angler can go, and it looks like they found something spectacular.

Chasing tarpon in Florida is not for the faint of heart.

The anglers from Carpe Diem are back with another great video, and this one features some beautiful trout in crystal-clear water in the Scandinavian backcountry.

Check out this gorgeous video from the Val Nambrone, in the Trentino region of Italy’s far north.

The Pacú  looks like an amazing game fish, caught in an amazing place.

This is a great short video about fly-fishing for steelhead. That hand-shaking at the end looks awfully satisfying.

Chucking streamers for big trout in the Ozarks of Arkansas looks like a lot of fun in this great video from John Holdmeier.

Amazing stuff from Black Fly Eyes: a documentary about a fish that earned its own name, and the video features the kind of wonderful scenery and action mix you’ve come to expect from these guys.
