Assistant Landscape Maintenance Manager

The Tree and Landscape Company is looking for an Assistant Manager to help with the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. This person must be familiar with aspects of landscape maintenance including irrigation, operating equipment, cleanups, mowing, mulching, pruning, trimming, edging, weed-whacking, bed maintenance, fertilizing, chemical applications, etc.. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision while helping to direct maintenance crews in a safe and efficient manner. This position must also be able to review and approve all the administrative requirements for the crews. The Assistant Manager will predominantly be working in an office setting but they must be able to lift at least 50lbs and have the mobility to assist with equipment/material delegations at the start of each work day. The Assistant Manager must be available to start their workday by 7am. Salary dependent upon experience. We look forward to meeting you!

Packaging & Fulfillment Associate

The Packaging Associate contributes to the successful operation of Vertical Harvest by following all Vertical Harvest protocols and performing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as laid out by their department.  Daily tasks include (but are not limited to) harvesting (harvester or other) and packaging. Through regular communication with the Packaging Manager, team Leads and senior associate, the Packaging Associate will ensure that crop production targets are being met. A Packaging Associate possesses the independence and drive to complete all tasks assigned to them in a timely and satisfactory manner. This is a general description for the position and may be adjusted as needed. All positions at Vertical Harvest are dependent on need, and may some holiday shifts. Additionally, all employees are expected to contribute to the success of the greenhouse and as such may be cross-trained and have responsibilities across departments as needs arise. 

The Greenhouse is open 365 days/year, and requires a Saturday shift and possible holidays. This is a full time position, non-exempt, expected to work 40 hours per week. The schedule for this position is Tuesday – Saturday.

The ACLU seeks a Temporary Legal Assistant to work in our Jackson office. The Legal Assistant will support our team of attorneys with a variety of tasks, including immigrants’ rights work. A keen eye for detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, and ability to process mail, email and voicemails efficiently and accurately are critical. Additional duties include drafting letters, emails and legal documents in English and Spanish, scheduling, copying, scanning and filing case paperwork. Previous law office experience preferred but not necessary for the right candidate – anyone interested in advancing civil and immigrant rights is encouraged to apply! Full-time position of 35 hours per week, paying $33.70 per hour. Work hours are Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM. Three-month contract eligible for renewal for up to one year.
