The Claremont Senior Center is open every Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. We are also open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm. We have many activities. Miracle Ear, Blood Drive and VNA Foot Clinic will continue as scheduled. REMEMBER your senior center will be closed if school is called off because of the weather. Did you know that we have a great group of ladies who love quilting and meet at the center? Please call the center to get more information on the quilters.

NOTICE – PHONE NUMBER TO RESERVE LUNCH 603-678-0433 We have two options for our meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays – drive thru PLUS indoor seating. Reservations ARE also required for indoor seating as there is a limited number of seats. Tuesday, January 17th — Soup, hamburg stroganoff, egg noodles, vegetable, dessert. Thursday, January 19th – Soup, meatloaf, potatoes, vegetable, birthday cake. Must call 603-678-0433 by 10:30 to reserve either drive thru or inside dining. Because of the increase in the cost of supplies, we had to increase the price of our meals. NEW PRICE AS OF DECEMBER 1ST IS $5 FOR MEMBERS AND $6 FOR NONMEMBERS. Meals are always subject to change.

Turkey Dinner – on Saturday, January 21st we will be holding another take out only Turkey dinner. MUST call 603-678-0433 before 3:30 pm to reserve your meal. Pick up is between 4:30 – 6:00 pm. Turkey with stuffing, mashed potato with gravy, cranberry sauce, squash, dinner roll and fresh made dessert, all for $12.00.

SNOWDATE is Sunday, January 22nd, pick up only, 12:00 to 12:30 pm.

Blood Drive – There will be another Red Cross Blood Drive at the center on Monday, January 23rd. You must make an appointment at 800-RED-CROSS. Thank you for all of you who can donate and do donate. Every donation is appreciated.

Fly Tying Class – the Senior Center will be holding Fly Tying classes on four Saturdays beginning January 28th from 10:00 am until noon. The cost is only $20 for non members to help cover utilities, free for Senior Center members. Equipment and materials are provided. Women are encouraged to attend. Fly fishing is about timing, not strength. Only three seats are left. If interested, please contact Lloyd Mann at lrmann126@gmail.com or 603-542-5774.

WE WILL BE holding Wednesday afternoon BINGO ON January 18th. Wednesday afternoon Bingo is a popular activity for our seniors. We DO NOT accept $20 bills. You MUST purchase your cards BY 12:45. We average around 25 — 30 seniors who love to attend, visit with their friends and try to win a little extra money.

Our next Foot Clinics will be held on January 18 and 25th. You MUST call 603-748-1731 to make an appointment with them. Please note, the cost is $30.

The 2023 Calendars for the 2022 Claremont Senior Center Car Show are now for sale at the center. Each month displays 2022 winning cars along with a business card from sponsors. Calendars are on sale at the center for $10 and add an additional $6 for postage and handling for mail orders.

AARP Tax Preparations — AARP will be be doing taxes, here at the Claremont Senior Center, again this year on Fridays ONLY from February 3rd until April 7th. Call Audrey at 802-345-5415 to schedule an appointment. DO NOT CALL THE CLAREMONT SENIOR CENTER TO SET UP THESE APPOINTMENTS. You MUST call 802-345-5415.
