BARN Bazaar
Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network is hosting the sixth annual BARN Bazaar from 10 a.m. to
3 p.m. Nov. 19 at 8890 Three Tree Lane NE on Bainbridge Island.
The free event returns in person after moving online for two years during the pandemic.
Furniture, woven scarfs, fused glass art, jewelry, art prints, wooden bowls, handmade clothing, silkscreened items and more will be available.
Also that day all the studio areas and the Great Room at BARN will be filled with work created by members. More than 40 artisans are participating. Refreshments will be served.
Parking is available onsite or at the First Baptist Church on North Madison.
Choir concerts
Amiable Choir, a mixed voice group of singers from throughout Kitsap County, next month will bring three full-choir events to BI, as well as a more intimate evening at Poulsbo’s Jewel Box Theatre.
The full-choir “Songs of Hope, Joy and Peace” concerts, including “I Will Light Candles this Christmas,” “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” and “Candle Blessings for Hanukkah,” will be presented at Bethany Lutheran Church on Finch Road Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 3 at 3 and 7:30 p.m. The small group offering at Jewel Box on Iverson Street in Poulsbo Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. will include “Solstice Carole” and “Winter Wonderland.”
Admission for any performance is $20. Tickets are available through www.amabilechoir.org and at Dana’s on Winslow Way. Amabile is directed by Sylvia Cauter. Interfaith service
The 18th annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service will take place Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church, 11042 Sunrise Drive NE, Bainbridge Island.
Gratitude to Mother Earth is the theme with the offering going to support Puget Soundkeeper.
Storyteller and Suquamish elder Barbara Lawrence will be one of the guests speakers. Music from numerous churches will be performed. The event is put on by the BI-North Kitsap Interfaith Council.
BIMA events
Bainbridge Island Museum of Arts is having its Harvest Wine Dinner at
6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at BIMA Bistro.
BIMA also will host a Trans Day of Remembrance: Gratitude and Sorrow at 4 p.m. Nov. 20. BIMA is partnering with Bainbridge Pride, Queer Elders Family Group, Transfriending, the greater Kitsap Trans Community and others in presenting a panel discussion.

Senior crafts
The Bainbridge Island Senior/Community Center Waterfront Thrift Store is holding its annual sale
Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ornaments, decorations, holiday housewares and linens, and more will be featured in the center’s Huney Hall. Proceeds benefit the operations of the center, which serves over 1,700 senior citizens with exercise, recreation, information services and travel activities.
The center is located at 370 Brien Drive SE.
Fly fishing
Bainbridge Island Fly Fishers have an in-person meeting and program at
7 p.m. Nov. 29 at Seabold Hall, 14450 Komedal Road NE.
After the business meeting there will be a presentation by Shane Petersen on his self-guided float trip on the Smith River in Montana. Along with many Western U.S. states, he has also fly-fished in Alaska and Canada, along with Mexico and Russia.
There also will be a raffle drawing for two rod/reel combinations. You must be present to purchase tickets; the drawing will be after the presentation.
