At Lochter Fishery last week there was a surge of youngsters making the most of their last week of holidays by fishing the bait pond.

There is always a frenzy of excitement when a fish is “played in” with the rest of the family all helping out to land it in the net.

It was great to watch this timeless scene being enacted by a new future generation.
