Video Pro Tips: Always Trust Your Spidey Senses

Here’s another great video tip from Dave Jensen of Jensen Fly Fishing. Sometimes, when you’re out on the water, you see a spot where the just has to be a trout. It’s too good a lie for there not to be. But you can’t see anything there. Instead of moving to another spot, give yourself time to observe the water to see if perhaps you can spot something. Dave says he counts to 100–or even 200 if his tingling is extreme–to see if he can get a glimpse of a fish.

In this situation, he got to 60 before he spotted movement, just the sun glinting off the trout’s tail. He kept his eyes on the fish, watched it eat a cicada, and knew he had a shot. The results speak for themselves.
