McHugh, Nolan Edward DELANSON Nolan Edward McHugh, the beloved son of Lisa and William McHugh, left this world on May 7, 2022, to be with God in his Kingdom and to finally know true peace and joy. He was born on March 31, 1994, in Schenectady. He was a graduate of Duanesburg Senior High School, attended Hudson Valley Community College and briefly worked before his illness. As a boy, he loved playing basketball, listening to and making music, tying fly fishing lures, collecting Pokemon cards, his pets and being with his friends. Most of all, he loves his brother Patrick so dearly. We love him immeasurably. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Eva J. DeMania; his grandfather, Edward M. DeMania; his grandmother, Muriel E. McHugh; and his uncles, Timothy K. McHugh and Thomas K. McHugh. He is survived by his parents, Lisa and William McHugh; his brother, Patrick (fiancee Connelly Holmes) of Albany; his grandfather, William E. McHugh of Raleigh, N.C.; his grandmother, Barbara J. DeMania; and his uncles, Michael E. DeMania of Irvine, Calif. and Terrence K. McHugh of Troy, Mich. He is also survived by numerous, loving cousins whom he adored. Services will be private. There will be no calling hours. A memorial to celebrate Nolan’s life and the love he shared will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks for donations to be made in Nolan’s name to Mohawk Opportunities of Schenectady, whose staff worked tirelessly with Nolan and our family. Donations may also be made in his name to and the Schenectady Chapter of the National Association for Mental Illness (NAMI).
