Marc Friedman, Park City resident, age 67 passed away on February 17th,2022 due to bone cancer at the Elk Meadows care facility. His last day he was with close friends and Rabbi Yudi Steiger.His remains were buried in Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery in Woodridge, New York.
Marc was born in New Haven, Connecticut and lived in many places all over the country – including Massachusetts, Long Island New York, Connecticut, Illinois and Utah. He was a famed local around the town and even one of Park City’s earliest residents moving here in 1976-1985 and back in 1997.
Marc was a highly skilled professional cabinet maker, custom woodworker and has had his high end work published five times in national magazines.
He enjoyed playing bass as a local musician, golfing, fly fishing, the stock market, watching Perry Mason and the NFL. He also loved the art of inventing: everything from hand operated model boats and airplanes to modified golf carts. He was always the best at delivering a joke and had an incredible gift for mathematics.
One of Marc’s favorite “dad jokes” (that has forever stuck in the hearts and laughter of his daughters) is was his cemetery joke. Throughout the years, anytime we would ride by a cemetery, Marc would point to it and say, “I hear people are just dying to get in there.” Ironically, he did just that to get got his permanent pass into that joke. We include this joke because we know Marc would want laughter when anyone read this.
Marc is survived by his older sister Amy , daughters Nicole and Lindsey, and a list of wonderful lifelong friends.
In lieu of a memorial or a funeral donations are greatly welcomed in his honor at the American Cancer Foundation.
