Glenn Holleman Semmes “Wewa”, age 70, of Wewahitchka, FL passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at his home. Glenn was born in Enterprise, AL on January 11, 1952, to Hugh and Madge Semmes and had lived in Wewahitchka his entire life. He worked as a tugboat captain and enjoyed fly fishing, motorcycle riding, camping, kayaking, fireworks, Christmas lights, and loved Alabama football “Roll Tide”. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh H. Semmes and Madge Jones Semmes.
Survivors include, wife, Kathy Semmes of Wewahitchka, FL; two sons, Shane Semmes and Crystal of Wewahitchka, FL, Jeffrey Semmes and Paisley Brooke McDuffie of Panama City, FL; two stepsons, Avery Fisher of Wewahitchka, FL, Daniel Fisher of Wewahitchka, FL; stepdaughter, Morgan Fisher of Wewahitchka, FL; two brothers, Tom Semmes and Dianne of Wewahitchka, FL, John Semmes of Wewahitchka, FL; best friends (other brothers) Roger “Hog” Jones, Stephen Brown, Mike Whitfield, Darrell “OBD” Roth and Rusty McKnight; two nieces Allison Semmes, Amy
Semmes. Memorialization will be by cremation. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 5:00 pm (CST) at Roberts Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home, Blountstown, FL.
