Beulah – Bruce Edward Bensik, 70, of Beulah, Colo., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jan. 1, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Bruce was born June 3, 1951, and lived in Pueblo his whole life. He was the owner and operator of ABC Electric for 35 years. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Esther Bensik; brother, Rick Bensik; former wife, Cheryl; and stepson, Paul Swart. Survived by his wife, Shevawn; son, Brent (Melissa); daughter, Nichole (Fabian) ; stepson, Sean; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Bruce’s family was the most important thing in the world to him, and he was very proud of them all. He loved fly fishing, camping and skiing. The last few years he enjoyed working on his family property in Beulah. Everyone who knew him knew that he was a really hard worker. He made a lot of friends during all his years in business, and on his many fishing and skiing trips. He and Shevawn traveled from Canada to Mexico, and from Alaska to Florida. Almost everywhere they went Bruce would run into someone he knew. He was very happy that he recently got to spend some time with his son in Connecticut and do some camping with his daughter. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family wishes to thank all the angels at Sangre de Cristo Hospice and the Joni Fair Hospice House for taking such good care of Bruce. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to hospice house.
