This week for “Master Class Monday”—our feature about taking your fly fishing skills to the next level—Pete Kutzer shows you a simple knot for attaching a bite tippet to a monofilament or fluorocarbon leader. Earlier, Pete showed us how to tie the Slim Beauty knot to attach a shock tippet, but he considers this connection easier to make, especially when you are working with wire. If you plan to fish for toothy predators such as pike, musky, bluefish, or barracuda, this is a great knot to have in your toolbox.
