Lowell married Karolyn Kay Masterson in August of 1962 in Inwood, Iowa. They had four children together. Two sons, and two daughters. He adored his wife and children, always. Lowell was the best provider, husband, father, grand and great-grand father, teacher, friend, craftsman, fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, Norwegian, optimist, conservative, red-blooded patriotic All-American man that ever raised an awesome family here in Spokane, WA. Bar none.
Lowell enjoyed many hobbies and activities during his life. Early on he enjoyed archery, photography, sculpture, wood working, RC airplanes and gliders, scouting with his boys and gardening. But most important of all was fishing and fly tying, and bow-hunting, camping and traveling with his wife and family and friends. Lowell was involved in the Inland Empire Fly Fishing Club. Lowell enjoyed cooking holiday dinners and summer BBQs for his family. His family and friends will remember him as a loving and caring man, a great father, a fine friend, a mentor, a peer, a guide and role model as well as being a fine example of a great life well lived. Lowell appreciated the people he surrounded himself with. Many who knew him would tell you they were honored to have known him.
