Peterborough, NH — James Patrick Sullivan, 68, passed away on September 5, 2021 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass. Jimmy was born on September 21, 1952 to Donald Sullivan and Mary (Moriarty) Sullivan from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Donald Sullivan was a Sergeant First Class – Retired 1970. Jimmy grew up in North Carolina, Germany, Georgia, Texas and Enfield CT. Jimmy was a graduate of Enfield High School in Enfield CT in 1970. Jimmy was also a combat medic in the Vietnam War. He was a proud patriot and loved his country. He believed it was a patriotic duty to be vaccinated for COVID-19. After receiving an AS in Science (Nursing) in 1980, he was comfortable with several aspects of Nursing. Jimmy moved to Peterborough, NH with his family in 1998 and worked at Adept Mobile Robotics building robots until his retirement. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife Sherry (Greenwood) Sullivan of 45 years, his children Shamus Sullivan (40 years) and Shaun Sullivan (40 years) who both live in Keene, NH. He was very proud and loved them both very much. Additional survivors include a sister, Mary (Sullivan) Symkowitz of East Hartford CT, two brothers Donald Sullivan of West Palm Beach, Florida and Frank Sullivan of Strasburg, Virginia. Jimmy has been predeceased by his siblings Colleen (Sullivan) Tone Muratore and John Sullivan. Jimmy leaves behind four grandsons; Colby Sullivan and Cayden Sullivan of Antrim, NH, and Aeden Sullivan and Joseph Sullivan of Chesterfield, NH, as well as nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Jimmy developed many lasting friendships throughout his lifetime. He was a loyal and trusted friend. Jimmy was an avid reader, remembering the smallest details from battles of the Civil War and WWII. Jimmy loved the outdoors; especially fly fishing and he tied his own flies. He shared his sport with friends and was willing to share his talents. A perfect day for Jimmy was fly fishing, catching “the big one”, spending time with his family. His beloved golden retriever, Murphy, was always at his side.
